In superelastic nickel titanium alloy, Leone coil springs have always been used in orthodontic treatments. These springs combine the characteristics of coil spring design with the non-deformable properties of superelastic MEMORIA alloy.
They are available open, for compressions and gaining space, and closed with wound ends, for use with hooks of tubes and brackets. The closed type with a ligature wire allows spaces wider than 15 mm to be linked \u2014 the situation where a plain closed spring simply runs out of travel.
The C1230-95 kit gathers the components that actually get used together: 3 open springs, 15 closed springs with wound ends, 15 closed springs with wound ends and ligature wire, 10 stops and 10 MIM surgical hooks. For crimping the surgical hooks, use plier P1911-00.
