Wire and wire form
LEOLOY® Australian Wire and Archwires
Heat-treatable Australian wire in two tempers — blue soft and yellow spring — for archwires that need considerable bending.
LEOLOY®C8216C8416C8420
Chromium-cobalt base alloy, heat-treatable, highly stainless and resistant to breakage. Available in two tempers, both laboratory tested and quality controlled, on 8 m spools.
Blue LEOLOY® — soft heat-treatable. It is initially the softest of the two tempers, intended for construction of archwires that require considerable bending. After heat-treating at 480 °C it will become as hard as stainless steel wires. Recommended for Ricketts technique.
Yellow LEOLOY® — spring heat-treatable. With slightly springier qualities than blue, it is intended for construction of archwires which require considerable bending. It can be used as furnished, or heat treated at 480 °C if greater springback is required.
It is diamond drawn for perfect levelling of surfaces, which is what keeps friction predictable in the slot.
