Palatal Expander for TADs

This device allows the manufacturing of totally customised expanders, both hybrid — teeth and TADs — and fully bone borne. It features two posterior arms, and four dedicated TAD attachments are included in the package, adaptable to the patient’s anatomy and welded by the laboratory onto the body of the screw.

The enhanced strength of the expander ensures high mechanical resistance, enough to apply the high forces required for MARPE therapy (screw assisted rapid palatal expansion) even in adult patients: the mechanical resistance of the expander is higher than 60 kgf. Thanks to the adaptable TAD attachments it is possible to highly customise the expander to each patient’s anatomy and to the TADs-first or TADs-last approach, so an optimised expansion load distribution over the TADs can be achieved.
